About Us
Discover Ulu Ka’u Farm
Ulu Ka’u Farms is located in the vast district of Ka’u on the Big Island of Hawaii. Located on the southern slope of Mauna Loa, the largest volcanic mountain in the World, our farm is just above the quaint village of Na’alehu, the Southern most community in the United States.
In the deep rich volcanic ash soil of our farm, coupled with long sunny days and cool nighttime breezes, our sustainable farm practices yield the finest Coffee and Tea in the State of Hawaii. Our farm also raises cattle, Sweet Potatoes, various produce vegetables, and Honey from hundreds of bee hives on the lands.
The Ka’u District is large, being larger than the entire island of Oahu(Honolulu), yet there are only about 15,000 people who live and work here. Ka’u is the home of Hawaii Volcanoes National park, the alpine summit of Mauna Loa, the Black Sand beach at Punaluu, and waters teaming with fish and our iconic green sea turtles. Come witness the spectacular sun rises and look for the “green Flash” as the sun meets the day. Stay for the night and experience the star filled nights, the clarity of our galaxy, the Milky Way, is unsurpassed not having any influence of light pollution.
If visiting the Big Island and touring Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, please come and discover the Beauty of Ka’u,. Stay awhile, DISCOVER Ka’u, DISCOVER Ulu Ka’u Farms.
